A beautiful set of 6 nesting dolls (the smallest is not shown) which are actually made in Russia in the Kirov Traditional style. These are not cheap imitations!
These Matryoshka dolls are handcrafted and hand-painted in Russia. Each artist has a unique style so even the traditional Matryoshka doll has many interpretations.
Matryoshka is a common name for females in Russia and is associated with the image of a strong, healthy woman of a big family. It is derived from the Latin word Mater meaning Mother.
Each doll will include a short history of Matryoshka Nesting Dolls.
Recommended for children 3 years and over. Due to a choking hazard we suggest removing the smallest doll when it is a gift for a child.
